- We will be looking at polar impedance coordinates and understanding them in terms of rectangular coordinates and the Smith Chart. Polar coordinates appear in the FCC pool questions so you need to understand the basics of what they are. They really are amazingly simple once you understand the concepts behind them. Always remember: when you see things in electronics that look complicated, those complicated things were originally put there to simplify things. They must therefore be simple themselves.
