The Chelsea Amateur Radio Club (CARC) Board has reluctantly come to the decision to close the club. This is due to the lack of membership and participation in club events, club meetings and the club net. The annual CARC Swap meet has also been canceled for 2025. The past and present board members have tried to keep the club going for the past 10 years with no success.
Area amateur radio clubs will be contacted to see if they are interested in taking over the repeater. Clubs will have until Friday, May 30, 2025 to notify the CARC at
wd8iel@gmail.
If there is no interest, the repeater will be turned off and all equipment sold. All assets (material and financial) will be liquidated. Remaining assets will be donated to an appropriate 501c3 organization
