This is a video produced by Keysight Technologies and briefly describes the measurement of noise figures. A noise figure knowledge is often very significant with repeaters. If the repeater is located in a business industrial park, there is likely a high noise figure. In contrast, if the repeater is located out in the middle of nowhere, the NF is likely to be down in the mud.
