The Chelsea Amateur Radio Club sponsors a swap meet each year at the Chelsea Fair Grounds on the first Sunday of June. This year (2024) the first Sunday falls on June 2nd.
The Annual Manchester Chicken Broil
Each year, the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club assists the Manchester Chicken Broil promoters in pulling off an excellent and mighty astounding event that delights the tummy! Our responsibilities are primarily regarding traffic control. Last year (2023) the cars were lined up in two directions as far as the eye could see.
It is a hard day’s work and the club traditionally buys each volunteer a chicken dinner box from the event to take home.
The Chelsea Community Fair Parades
Each year, the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club works in collusion with the Chelsea Police Department to assure a safe and secure parade event for both parades. These parades have been consistently held for many decades. We were able to obtain some brief home movies of the Chelsea Parade from 1959 shown above.
Dexter Library Amateur Radio Presentation
